Overview
This graduate course is intended for PhD students who have a solid background for their research area, but need a specialized course to cover material not available in other graduate course offerings. This course is not intended to replace the students thesis literature review. Examples of selected topics are:
- advanced topics in turbomachinery
- advanced topics in radiative heat transfer
- film and effusion heat transfer
- analysis of ejector systems
- hazards from compressed and pressure liquefied gases
- fire protection of pressure vessels
Other topics are possible and should be negotiated with your supervisor. The course content must be defined in writing at the beginning of the course, and must be approved by the Departmental Graduate Coordinator.
