Current Research: 3D motion analysis equipment is used to investigate orthopedic problems such as osteoarthritis of the knee, the development and clinical evaluation of devices, and the effects of surgical and non-surgical interventions. Recent studies have included the evaluation of a group exercise program on knee loads in OA, the effects of two different knee implant designs, and the changes in knee moments when using an 'OA unloader' brace.

Current Research: My research program is directed toward understanding the movement impairment and disability associated with neurological disorders. Recent work has examined the basis of selected rehabilitation interventions on tremor and bradykinesia in people with Parkinson's disease. We are currently exploring the scope of movement alterations in people with Essential tremor.

Current Research: My laboratory studies visual perception, on the one
hand, and sensorimotor control of posture and gait, on the other hand.
There are several links between the two. One of the most interesting
concerns the intrinsic "knowledge" about biomechanics which the visual
system uses when looking at and interpreting the movement of other people.
