This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices for the Human Mobility Research (HMRC) web site. Other pages you reach from the official pages of the Centre are maintained by other departments within Queen's, individual faculty and other institutions.
Information Collected during your Visit
The HMRC website logs http requests to our server. These logs capture computer information including the internet domain and IP address, the date and time, the pages being accessed, and the browser and operating system you are using. Some of the information may identify you depending on the naming standards followed by your internet service provided. We make no attempt to link the information captured in our logs to the identity of individuals. These statistics are kept for two years and then deleted.
Information Collected in Emails
If you choose to provide us with personal information in an email we will use that information to respond to your message. The HMRC website does not collect personal information for commercial, marketing, or distribution to private organizations. Messages sent by email can be intercepted. If you are concerned about sending your personal information by email you can contact us by another method.
Security
For web site security purposes, Queen's University may monitor network traffic, including traffic on the HMRC website, in order to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users.
