Vortex Interactions with Rigid and Deformable Bodies

On Friday, December 8th, Dr. Sean D. Peterson will present on his work on vortex/structure interactions, including fundamental studies on vortex dynamics, energy harvesting using deformable/active materials, and vortices in the vocal tract to human phonation. Dr. Peterson is a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. The talk will take place at 11 am in Room 312, McLaughlin Hall.
