This month’s University Network of Excellence in Nuclear Engineering (UNENE) annual two-day R&D workshop was attended by the Queen’s nuclear materials group.  The UNENE R&D workshop brings together about 100 people from the power utilities, industrial suppliers, academia and government labs to review issues in the industry and university research.  Congratulations to Oksana Simane and Travis Skippon who won 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively for their poster presentations, with prizes provided by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.  More details on nuclear materials research at Queen’s can be found at www.rmtl.ca and http://my.me.queensu.ca/Research/Nuclear/index.html
